Beyoncé released a new original song inspired by the Disney live-action movie The Lion King. The new album called The Lion King: The Gift, as well as the film's OST will feature Queen Bey’s song titled Spirit

The 23-time Grammy Award winner released the single following the exclusive premier of the movie. However, the entire the entire Beyoncé-curated album won’t debut until July 19, the day of the film’s U.S. release.

The Beyoncé track Spirit, co-written by IIya Salmanzadeh and Timothy McKenzie alongside Queen Bey, is expected to play during an emotional “Lion King” scene involving the singer's character Nala.

“This is sonic cinema,” said Beyoncé in a statement. “This is a new experience of storytelling. I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film. It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn’t one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop and Afro Beat.”
