Wrestler and gold medalist at the 2010 Commonwealth, Geeta Phogat on Monday, announced her pregnancy on Twitter.
She broke the big news by posting a photo of herself flaunting a baby bump. She captioned the image, “mother’s joy begins when new life is stirring inside, when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time.”
As soon as Geeta shared the good news on social media, congratulatory messages started to pour in from celebrities including Hina Khan, Nia Sharma, Lopamudra Raut among others.
Phogat married fellow Indian wrestler Pawan Kumar in November 2016. After a stint on the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, Geeta returned to wrestling with a gold at the All India Police Championship in October 2017.
