The first look at Season 5 of the widely acclaimed series Emily in Paris is finally here, and here’s everything you need to know

The popular Netflix series Emily in Paris is returning with its fifth season, and this time Emily is heading to Venice. The new season will premiere on December 18.

Netflix also shared first-look pictures that confirm Lily Collins' character Emily will spend part of the season in Venice, Italy. The carousel of pictures shared on Instagram is going viral all across. The caption reads, "Benvenuto! The first look images from Emily in Paris are here, and they’re serving up a slice of la dolce vita! Season 5 returns on December 18". The photos showcase the beautifully styled characters with dreamy European backdrops.

Season 5 will follow Emily as she continues to balance her personal and professional life. She is now leading Agence Grateau Rome, but soon faces challenges that bring both heartbreak and career setbacks. Just as things seem to fall apart, Emily tries to find stability in her French lifestyle. However, a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships.

The official description of the season reads, “Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city. But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks. Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle, until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities.”

The show will also see returning cast members including Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount. New names joining this season are Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, and Bryan Greenberg, among others.

The series is created by Darren Star, who also serves as executive producer. Lily Collins, who plays Emily, is also a producer on the show.
