The Kapoor family is rejoicing the arrival of the newest addition as actor Sonam Kapoor and her husband, Anand Ahuja, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on March 29. The family of three is now complete with the addition of the newest member, and the eldest son, Vayu, is now officially the big brother.
Rhea, the doting aunt and well-known stylist, was the first to give fans an adorable peek into the newest addition to the family. She took to Instagram and posted an adorable picture of the newborn, wrapped in a blue blanket, as she cradled him in her arms. Although she was wearing a face mask, the love and emotions in her eyes as she gazed lovingly at the newborn could not be missed. She gave credit to her sister, saying, Sonam has “superhuman mom strength”, as she mentioned in the caption.
This announcement was met with an outpouring of affection from the Bollywood elite. Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon were some of the first people to flood the Comments section with heart emoticons and congratulate the couple. Even Anil, the new grandfather, was not able to hide his pride. He posted a heart-touching message saying how his heart had only grown bigger, welcoming the "little one" to the beautiful madness of their lives.
Sonam and Anand, who tied the knot in May 2018, have been open about how happy they have been to expand their family. In an official social media announcement, they stated how they were "grateful for the precious new life that has added more grace to our home." While Sonam has been taking a break from her screen presence after the arrival of her child, Vayu, in 2022, she remains an integral part of the social scene, now embracing her role as a mother of two.
