The wait is almost over for ardent followers of the slow burn romance of the year. XO, Kitty Season 3 drops officially on Netflix tomorrow, April 2. The "will they/won't they" situation between Kitty Song Covey and Minho has reached the breaking point, but the music has everyone on the internet talking.
The main performer in the new series of the K-drama series is none other than the K-pop sensation V from BTS. The streaming platform has announced officially that the soulful collaboration between the singer and UMI, wherever u r, has been prominently featured in the second episode. This would be the third time the K-pop band has performed in the series. The band’s Seven by Jungkook was featured in the second episode of Season 2. The band’s Telepathy was in the first episode of the series. V has already proven his mettle in the K-drama fantasy genre by performing in the K-dramas Our Beloved Summer and Itaewon Class.
Apart from the BTS magic, the creators have put together an energetic playlist comprising songs from K-pop festivals. The audience can look forward to enjoying songs from aespa featuring Whiplash, ENHYPEN’s Go Big or Go Home and NMIXX’s Soñar (Breaker). The playlist has an interesting mix of songs from THE8 of the K-pop band SEVENTEEN featuring Skyfall and songs from Wonho, BTOB member Peniel, and new K-pop band MEOVV.
This musical beat is going to be the background score for Kitty’s heavy senior year. With her Senior Sunset bucket list in hand, Kitty has to deal with college applications and family Chuseok dinners. She has to figure out her relationship with Minho. When the misunderstandings add up, Kitty seeks help from her sister Lara Jean. With eight new episodes and the upcoming episode featuring the yacht trip to Busan, the musical beats promise to be the perfect accompaniment to Kitty’s senior year at KISS.
