People's Film Collective is organising an audio-visual presentation this Saturday, to mark their seventh anniversary. The presentation by Dwaipayan Banerjee on the topic ‘A Brief History of Indian Documentary and What It Tells Us About India (1897-2019),’ will consist of 30 film clips, which will give an account of the different types of documentaries that have been made in India, and the socio-cultural trends which have shaped up its journey till now.
