This festival at Basava celebrates indigo with pop-up shops, documentary screenings, talks and workshops

Multi-designer store Basava by Kris will host an indigo festival titled Indigo-Colour of India, to celebrate the natural blue dye. The 11-day event will have pop-up stores of indie, slow fashion brands from across the country besides performances, talks, discussions, documentary screenings and workshops. 

Shop from labels like Avani, Weavers Studio, Karomi, Malkha, Women Weave, Upasana, Punarjeevana, Malkha, Khela, Atul Johri, Earthistic, Aagghhoo, Sasha and Aranya Naturals. Some of the other highlights include an indigo shibori workshop, a screening of Story of Indigo, a documentary on the history and method of creating the dye and Saraswati Veena performance by the legendary veena maestro Jayanthi Kumaresh.
