Although Jaipur might be the most famous pink city of India, there are other places where the buildings and houses are painted in a rosy hue. In Rajasthan, the Shekhawati villages have their magnificent havelis decorated with murals and frescoes. Another unique pastel destination is Panaji’s Portuguese Latin Quarter. For all travelers who want to discover some other pink places apart from Jaipur, the following seven destinations will provide a lot more interesting experience.

Fontainhas brings a coastal twist to the pink places in India list, with colourful Portuguese-era houses. Its coral, salmon and blush façades give the historic neighbourhood a distinctly pastel character
Churu’s old city is lined with frescoed havelis, narrow lanes and historic structures that showcase the distinctive art of Shekhawati. Its heritage buildings feature murals in shades of pink, red, ochre and blue
Mahansar is known for exceptionally detailed painted havelis and temples, including the famous Sone-Chandi Ki Dukan. The town was founded in 1768 and developed around a compact fort settlement
Dundlod packs a fort, palace and painted havelis into a compact historic centre, giving the town a distinctly heritage-rich character. The Goenka havelis and the Ram Dutt Goenka Chhatri are among its notable sights
