Located in Chauth ka Barwara town of Sawai Madhopur district, the Barwara fort was established circa 1451 and was built by Bhim Singh, the ruler of the Chauhan dynasty.
This 14th-century fort has been reimagined into an elegant resort by Six Senses and this is their first resort in India. It started operations earlier this year.Set majestically in the wilderness of Rajasthan, the structure has been restored and it includes two palaces and two temples.Local artisans have played a pivotal role in its restoration process, which has heavily relied on craftsmanship and methods handed down from generation to generation.Designed in contemporary Rajasthani style, each of their 48 suites reinterprets the regal ambience.
