Meet the Devis!

Our third award winner to be featured in the Devi Awards countdown series is Sharda Dubey

A retired Central School teacher and survivor of cancer from Varanasi, Sharda Dubey has taken it upon herself to conserve the treasure of traditional Bhojpuri folk songs which were once common in eastern UP and Bihar. 

Sharda Dubey is our Devi for persevering to preserve a large cultural cause, putting aside physical ailments.

The Devi Awards will be held in Lucknow on October 30, 2019 at CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Auditorium.
