Instagram music finally made available to users in India

The feature can be used only with stories and not posts on the app

Many of you might have seen a message reading “Instagram music is not available in your region” while browsing the stories of users in other countries. Instagrammers in India won’t have to go through this as the Facebook-owned social media has launched the facility.

As per reports, the feature—that was put out for select-few markets in March 2018—will be available for Android users with the latest update (v110.0.0.16.119) even though the app developers have not made an official announcement. It can be used only with stories and not posts on the app.

Users can choose from a wide range of Indian as well as some popular international numbers to suit their story. You can access the feature labelled “Music” under the stickers section on the app.
