Earlier last month, a fitness challenge was started on Twitter with the hashtag #HumFitTohIndiaFit by Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore. He had shared a video of himself doing push-ups while asking everyone to share a video of their fitness mantra in order to promote a healthier lifestyle.
Soon Indian cricket team skipper, Virat Kohli accepted Rathore's challenge and took to Twitter to share a video of him doing spider planks. Kohli in his tweet, challenged, PM Narendra Modi, former cricket team captain MS Dhoni, and wife Anushka Sharma to do the same.
While Anushka took up the challenge right away and shared her video, PM Modi shared his fitness video today morning. He shared a video of his morning exercise routine.
In a two-minute long video, Modi is seen practicing Yoga and also walking on a track inspired by the Panchtatvas, the five elements of nature - Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash.
He then nominated Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy, table tennis player Manika Batra, and the entire fraternity of IPS officers to undertake the fitness challenge.
Here are moments from my morning exercises. Apart from Yoga, I walk on a track inspired by the Panchtatvas or 5 elements of nature - Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash. This is extremely refreshing and rejuvenating. I also practice— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) June 13, 2018
