Priyanka Chopra visited India and paid respects at the Golden Temple on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. She was seen making a prayer request at the Golden Temple, as well as helping out in service to others as a part of performing seva (rendering service to God).
Currently, there is a viral video of Priyanka Chopra cleaning dishes in a temple setting. In the video, she is wearing a pink suit and has her hair covered with a scarf. Her actions got a lot of praise and applause on social media. One person praised her saying, “Good to see that she did not forget her roots” while another person said, “Oh wow, we were there day before yesterday, missed it. Great gesture Priyanka.”
But every coin has two sides and social media is definitely not an exception. A lot of people also thought this can be a part of the PR strategies for her upcoming project, Varanasi. One person said, “and brought 2-3 cameramen for PR photo shoot ??” Another person said, “AND having her photo taken! How nice Time was when people did seva for ... seva!!” One X user commented, “They come to Darbar Sahib to cleanse their image.”
Recently the Desi girl also posted a sneak peak of her Amritsar holiday on Instagram, by captioning it as “Just Amritsar things.” In the snippets, she could seen enjoying Amritsari kulcha, chole, dal makhani, with dahi, sirke wali pyaaz, and a dollop of butter.
Although Priyanka has yet to provide an official reason for her travels, many people believe that it is somehow related to her next film. She is working with director S. S. Rajamouli and co-stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The action epic has a tentative release date of April 7, 2027.
The Sky Is Pink actress is making a comeback after a long hiatus. She will play the role of Mandakini. The teaser starts with aerial views of the city of Varanasi, which is one of the oldest cities in India and was built around 521 CE. Then teaser moves into a dramatic scene showing an asteroid called Sambhavi impacting the Earth. Many of the images in the teaser include areas around the world, such as Antarctica and Africa, and different locations in India, including Manikarnika Ghat.
