With the launch of a third experience centre, HomeLane expands its presence in the city, bringing its expertise in interior design and fittings to Anna Nagar. “Our tech-integrated process and the brand promise of delivering a fully-fitted house in 45 days is really what sets us apart in the market. Walking into the HomeLane showroom, all you need is a floor plan of your future home and over the next hour and a half, you can expect to step out with an estimate quote, consolidated designs and clarity of thought. Started in 2014 in order to dispel the haziness that surrounds a chaotic home designing process, HomeLane does exactly that with a detailed walk-through experience that starts at the kitchen sets and moves through the closet, bedroom and halls. Every knob, slab and tile comes with customizable options of colour, thickness and material and if you can’t make up your mind, a designer is always there to help.

Aiming to make setting up a home as hassle-free as possible, HomeLane not only works as an aggregator of top interior design brands but has a special trick up its sleeve - Spacecraft. An easy-to-use software that enables you to co-create the floor plan with the designer, it brings the Sims video game to life as you pick and move around furniture and fittings options. As you finalise the design on the screen - colours, textures and all, a breakdown of the price quote is automatically calculated. “What you see is what you get. Our aim to be tech-efficient ensures that there are no surprises with price or design in the end,” says Venkatesh.

With three experience centres in the city alone, it’s quite apparent that Chennai houses a vibrant customer base for HomeLane. “Chennai has it’s own distinct needs and designs when it comes to home design. Our best-selling closed Puja unit with golden bells was designed specifically for our Chennai crowds based on the heavy demand and has now been made available pan-India,” says Venkatesh. With Pongal and Tamil New Year right around the bend, it’s peak season with home buyers in the city as they look to move houses in time for the festivities.
