With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, whisky expert Sandeep Arora has experimented with local ingredients in his cocktail-making sessions. However, his go-to drink he admits is with water. “Mix your single malt with ice and a few drops of water for a classic drink. That’s my favourite choice,” he says, during the cocktail evening with Beam Suntory’s The Legacy of The Ardmore at Park Hyatt Hyderabad. In his words, whisky is more a lifestyle drink that has been popular in the country for a while. “People now enjoy appreciating whisky for its taste and smoky flavour,” he informs. Sandeep shares the recipe of one of his signature cocktails, New Fashioned. “An elegant concoction of The Ardmore Legacy Single Malt Scotch, bitters and a single sugar cube. Pair it with traditional tandoori chicken and smoked broccoli and call it a night.”
