Meet your fitness goals with this WhatsApp-based personalised human calorie counter
Over the years there have been several weight loss and diet-related apps like MyFitnessPal, Goquii and Fitness Buddy that have helped you keep your calories in check. However, a new service called The Food Analysts got our attention, thanks to their personalised chat feature and even their live meal suggestions service. It was lots of travelling for work and late hours at the grind that got 34-year-old Veer Ramlogan thinking whether there was a better way to track the scale, while still being on the go. He realised having a personal coach at all times to motivate, analyse , help and guide through all meals was simply not possible. In 2017, Veer started The Food Analysts — a WhatsApp-based human calorie counter, where a passionate group of fitness professionals are at your service.
Veer Ramlogan says that features like their customised recipes, macro charts and food swaps is what makes them unique. “We ask users to provide us with their statistics such as weight, height, amount of physical activity carried out in a day, and their goals,” says Veer. “In the food swap feature, we help the client replace a particular food component with a healthier option, if that doesn’t go well with their set goals.”
Like other apps, their expert team of nutritionists too are trained to identify foods and recognise portion sizes. As far as results go, TFA’s users lose on an average 0.7 kg per week and are able to maintain consistency in weight loss. “People have improved their biological parameters by simply aligning their meals. We even work with athletes.” As The Food Analyst is a 24/7service, WhatsApp allows their clients to have constant access to the team, and to receive quick and constant responses at any time of the day. It is not an automated response and actually entails a human responding to your queries. What’s even better? They send you constant motivational messages to keep you on track!
