Bengaluru is set to host its largest gathering of traditional craftspeople this September as Karigar Bazaar arrives at Jayamahal Palace Hotel from September 4–14, 2026.

Karigar Bazaar 2026 Bengaluru: What to expect

The 11-day festival will feature more than 250 artisan-led stalls representing 26 states and union territories. Designed to counter the influx of factory-made merchandise in commercial exhibitions, the event connects buyers directly with primary producers, including National Award winners, Geographical Indication (GI) tag practitioners, rural women collectives and young craft innovators.

Visitors navigating the palace grounds can expect a highly interactive dive into India's creative heritage. The sprawling venue will function as a live studio where attendees can watch master craftsmen demonstrate centuries-old weaving, carving and painting techniques in real time. This setup allows shoppers to bypass commercial intermediaries entirely, ensuring every purchase directly supports the individuals preserving these vital legacy skills.
