'Shocked to find my name on the poster': Lyricist Javed Akhtar denies writing songs for PM Narendra Modi biopic

Reacting to the film PM Narendra Modi’s poster, legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar said that he did not write songs for the biopic.

The trailer, which released on Thursday, had video credits of the artistes who contributed to the film, in the end. Among other names in the lyrics category was Javed Akhtar’s.

However, in his latest tweet, the veteran lyricist denied writing songs for the film. He said: “Am shocked to find my name on the poster of this film. Have not written any songs for it.” He also shared a picture of the credits with the tweet.

Vivek Anand Oberoi played the role of Modi in the film, which is based on the life of the Indian Prime Minister - from his childhood to becoming the prime minister of the country.
