The much-awaited first look of A Suitable Boy, the Mira Nair directorial is finally released. Actors Ishaan Khatter and Tabu took to their respective Instagram handles to share the picture which features the two of them, on a porch swing. Ishaan is seen sporting a moustache in the picture.
Ever since they posted the updates, compliments have been pouring in by the likes of Karan Johar, Tara Sutaria, Ayushmann Khurrana, Mira Rajput, among other celebrities.
A Suitable Boy is an adaptation of Vikram Seth's novel of the same name. The six-part series will be produced by Lookout Point for BBC One, with Andrew Davies writing the screenplay.
According to reports, Ishaan will be playing Maan Kapoor, the rebellious son of politician Mahesh Kapoor (played by Ram Kapoor), who develops an attraction to the courtesan, Saaeda Bai, played by Tabu.
The movie also features Tanya Maniktala, Rasika Dugal, Shahana Goswami, Namit Das, Gagan Dev Riar, Danesh Razvi, Mikhail Sen, Vivek Gomber and Mahira Kakkar.
