Anurag Kashyap alerts Mumbai Police after receiving death threat online

According to reports, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap received death threats on social media. He alerted Mumbai police on Twitter, who said they will take action immediately. However, Anurag’s tweet that contained the death threat was later deleted.

Mumbai Police tweeted, “The cyber police station has been sent the account details. Request you to file a police complaint at the your nearest  police station for legal action to be initiated.” Anurag reverted to their response and thanked the police team.

He was among the 49 Indian film personalities along including Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin, Aparna Sen, Mani Ratnam who recently penned down an open letter to PM against cases of mob lynching.
