'I am just blown away,' says Jennifer Lopez as she expresses wish to collaborate with 'Monkey Man' director Dev Patel

Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez recently expressed her admiration for Indian actor Dev Patel and his captivating efforts in Monkey Man. During an interview with a media publication, when asked who her favourite Indian actor was, JLo not only praised Dev Patel, but also displayed interest in collaborating with the actor in the future.

While promoting her latest film Atlas, the 54-year-old actress said, “I love Dev Patel. [I just] love his work. Every time I see his work, I am just blown away. He is just so emotionally available; he’s so real and truthful. [His eyes] are so engaging, it just brings you in.”

In the recent years, Dev Patel has made massive strides in the movie industry with his roles in The Green Knight, Chappie and Slumdog Millionaire. However, Monkey Man has marked a significant change in the actor’s career, with the actor not only starring in the film, but also directing it with the backing of Get Out director Jordan Peele.

While the timeline for Monkey Man’s theatrical and OTT release still remains unknown, the movie has received critical acclaim from diverse regions of the world.

As fans eagerly await the day where these two international stars work together in a film, they will have the chance to see Jennifer take on the role of Atlas Shepherd, a data analyst, on Netflix on May 24.
