American professional basketball player, Lamar Odom has a new Netflix documentary: Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom. The series released on March 31, 2026, and Lamar Odom and his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian shared insights into their married life.
Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom dropped on Netflix on Tuesday and basketball player Lamar Odom opened up about his married life along with his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian. The couple's marriage created a lot of headlines back in the day.
Lamar and Khloe got married in 2009 and later separated in 2016. The documentary explores the reasons why Lamar married Khloe. While you may think love conquers all, it not always the case. For Lamar, it was the desire to live like the Kardashians that made him want to marry Khloe.
"I think that was like a power trip for me, 'cause you took the power I had [as an NBA player], and then Kardashian power", Lamar said. However, he was not ready for that kind of fame and power, he later said.
The former couple had only dated for a few weeks before their 2009 engagement and then, marriage. Reflecting on their short courtship and the skepticism of people around her, Khloe said in the podcast, "I do like to consider myself pretty levelheaded. I really do. But the cynicism of people judging and 'Is this a real relationship or is it not?' I totally understood. I mean, we were getting married in 30 days. So that is insane."
The reality star added, "Falling in love the way we fell in love, as quickly as we did, is so not my personality. But he’s so charismatic. He’s fun and silly. And then he also is a very vulnerable person. He’s very honest about his life and what has transpired in his life."
Lamar had previously stated in an interview, that no matter what, he can never forget Khloe.
