Prime Video today not only marked six years since the launch of Panchayat Season 1 on April 3, 2020, they officially announced the commencement of filming for the series’ much-awaited Season 5, to commemorate the milestone.
Since its debut six years back, Panchayat has steadily grown into one of India’s most beloved series, winning hearts across seasons. Season 4, in particular, had captivated audiences like never before. In its very first month, Panchayat Season 4 achieved record-breaking success, delivering the highest opening in the franchise’s history during launch week.
The overwhelming love by the fans has fuelled the momentum behind bringing the new season to life — promising fans yet another captivating ride filled with heartfelt storytelling and engaging performances.
The upcoming season is created by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar, and is written by Chandan and directed by Deepak. The season brings back its celebrated cast including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha.
After the gripping cliffhanger of Season 4, fans have been eagerly waiting to return to their favourite Phulera. The previous season ended with Sachiv Ji planning his next move after receiving his CAT results, Manju Devi reeling from the sting of defeat in the Panchayat elections, and Pradhan Ji visibly shaken by the outcome.
