If you want to move over from your regular pancakes and toasted bread for breakfast, your search ends here. Celebrity chef and TV show host Ranveer Brar shares his recipe of Rose Phirni — ‘a sweet and healthy start to the day’, as he rightly puts it. Also, as most people prefer milk for breakfast, the phirni is a good option. “There’s no sugar added either and you have the goodness of cornflakes, of course. What else do you need to kick-start your day,” says the Lucknow-born chef, who was awarded the youngest executive chef of his time in India at 25. With this recipe, Ranveer sticks to a simple cooking principle — to make a wholesome meal using only as many ingredients as you need.
